Pain.
Isn’t the reason we feel pain so that we’ll know when to pull away or to at least make a change?
If hurting is all we know, then we forget to remember that pain is supposed to stop sometimes.
If pain never stops, then we don’t know to walk away and find something better, we only seek to numb the pain.
Numb.
For now, the pain doesn’t hurt, the confusion doesn’t matter, and deadened senses create artificial peace.
Don’t get stuck here, don’t get stuck trying to numb the pain.
Keep fighting.
Feel the pain.
Confusion.
Is clarity and truth the opposite of confusion, or is God the opposite of confusion? I think because God is clarity and God is truth, both are true.
Can life be simple? Only if a Creator created life to be simple and good. He did, right? — Create me to be simple and good?
God? Are you there?
There is so much pain.
I can’t take it any more.
I want to be numb again.
God speaks. “Feel. Talk. Cry. Pray. Stay with me.”
Hope.
Pain is never too much to bear if there is hope — hope for making it through the pain one second at a time, one minute at a time, one day at a time.
Peace.
Is peace from the inside out or the outside in?
Does it even matter if it is outside or inside if peace overflows and changes our DNA?
True peace is appreciated so much more by those who know trauma.
If we never felt real peace, then we might not know that pain and confusion isn’t all there is in life.
Love.
Hope.
Clarity.
Peace.
Pain means I am alive. Feel it, and then hope for peace, because God has bigger plans than pain for me and you.
Dedicated to Josey, who has had to grow up too quickly. She is an overcomer and will know peace beyond understanding someday. Girl… keep feeling, keep talking, keep crying, and keep your eyes on Christ.
