Have you ever noticed that when you’re having a bad day, that things just seem to keep getting worse? Or that when you’re having a great day, things go really great until something offends you or gets thrown in like a wrench in your day?
Well, here’s a secret that Satan does NOT want you to know…
Our days can feel entrapping because we are more than physical bodies and spiritual beings are also at work in the universe. Evil spirits take pleasure in jabbering things in your ear, like, “Can you believe they would DO that? Who do they think THEY are? Things keep going from bad to WORSE, why would I expect any different? I just CAN’T seem to catch a break!”… you know, things like that.
Sometimes it’s evil spirits, sometimes it’s our own negative self-talk, sometimes it’s others caught in their own traps that feed into it. Regardless, did you realize that God created you with the authority to overcome all of that through Christ? Ask Jesus to help you take authority of all of your thoughts, train your mind to focus on the blessings and to maintain a spirit of gratitude, and pay closer attention to the things that you say aloud.
Satan can’t read your mind, but he CAN hear what you say. Speak positivity, speak grace, speak love, speak gratitude, and speak with the authority of Jesus who is within all who believe that he died and rose again for our sins.
